• A full jar lasts between 3-6 months with daily use. Once the glass is opened, the shelf life is 12 months.

Ingredients?

• The ingredients in Routine are all pure and natural ingredients. If we wouldn't put it on our kids, you won't find it in Routine.

Is Routine organic?

• Yes! On average, the deodorants have a 60% organic content. Clay, baking soda and minerals can not be included as organic and therefore we only reach 60%.

How much should I use?

• With routine, less is more. We suggest trying a pea sized amount as this is adequate for the majority of people. Try this amount and increase or decrease based on how it works for you.

What Routine is best for sensitive skin?

• Then choose The Curator or the sodium-free version of: Sexy Sadie, Johnny's Cash or Blackberry Betty. They're all sodium-free. Baking soda is alkaline and for some people this can mess with their PH balance, causing irritation to sensitive skin types. The bicarbonate is replaced by magnesium, a mineral which if you lack can make you smell more. Magnesium also has a relaxing effect on the armpits, preventing stress sweating.

What's the best one if I'm supa stinky?

• Choose Like A Boss or SUPERSTAR!
  Superstar combines magnesium, activated charcoal, prebiotics and a little bit of baking soda (only just enough that it doesn't cause irritation for most sensitive skin types).
  Like A Boss has the highest concentration of baking soda of all the deodorants, and therefor not recommended for folks with sensitive skin.

I'm a heavy sweater!

• All the formulas contain kaolin clay - which naturally absorbs sweat. You will still sweat a little as the clay is not bioavailable so it absorbs sweat topically, not into your body, but we think this is healthy! After several weeks of regularly using natural deodorant, people often find they begin to sweat less. All this being said, heavy sweaters seem to love our SUPERSTAR scent the most! 

I am pregnant / breastfeeding, can I use Routine?

• Sweet Jane, Blackberry Betty and Bonnie & Clyde are designed for pregnant and breastfeeding women. They contain no essential oils and instead get their fragrance from natural and organic (edible) fragrance oils. Although we believe our other versions are safe as they are thoroughly researched, diluted and not in therapeutic concentration, we recommend that pregnant and lactating women consult their doctor before starting to use herbal or essential oils.

Can Kids use routine?

• Yes! Kids love routine and can choose whichever scent they gravitate towards.

  The three scents we would recommend for kids are Bonnie & Clyde (unscented), Sweet Jane and Blackberry Betty – flavoured with organic, natural and delicious (they are even edible!) flavour oils. The flavour oils come from Nature’s Flavors based out of California, their website has great information: naturesflavors.com These oils are the same products organic candies are flavoured with. Is there an unscented Routine?

• Yes, Bonnie & Clyde is unscented.

I'm gluten-free. Is Routine?

• Twinsies! All 18 routine deodorants are gluten free.

Is there a vegan formula?

• Yes, Cat Lady,Sexy Sadie, Lucy In The Sky,Cat Lady and Johnny's Cash are 100% vegan - the other scents contain beeswax. The beeswax used in routine is locally and ethically produced from Nixon Honey in Innisfail, Alberta. Routine also donate a % of sales back to the bees! All Routine products are tested on friends, never on animals.

Is your baking soda aluminum free?

• Yes! Baking soda, also called sodium bicarbonate, (Routine use Bob’s Red Mill) has never contained aluminum. It is baking powders that do sometimes contain aluminum, and thus labels should be read carefully when purchasing this product.Some brands have started labelling baking soda as aluminum free, however it is more of a marketing strategy. This has misled many people into thinking baking soda contains aluminum which is simply not true.

Is there something wrong with my Routine?

• Routine is made of only the good stuff, which means that recrystallization might sometimes occur. So if you’re looking at your great-smelling cream and noticing tiny pale beads, this is totally normal and a result of changing temperatures and humidity through the shipping process. Your fave deo will still remain 100% effective and perfect for you. Pinky promise.

• If you find it difficult to choose, try any of the 4 minis kits. Then you can find your favorites before going all-in on a particular jar.
